openFabric for the Individual User
Saybi have recognised that there are many individual workers and small companies who would benefit from the ability to securely access and manage their electronic information whilst on the move and collaborating on projects with external colleagues, customers, contractors and suppliers.
Software applications such as customer relationship management, work flows for business process management, version control and the ability to create Intranets and extranets on the fly improve efficiency and save time and money however small companies and individual workers do not have the funds for a corporate system or have the access to an internal IT department.
In October 2007 Saybi Ltd will be launching an openFabric solution designed for individual user.
Whether you are a sole trader, partnership, consultant or small business, the openFabric individual package enables the ability to instantly access documents on the move, work on line or off line, set up work spaces to collaborate with contractors, colleagues, suppliers or partners and dramatically improves the time to complete projects whilst also reducing the volume of mistakes made by editing the wrong version of the drawing or working document.
Effective Working for the Individual
All content stored in the openFabric repository and sent to and from openFabric is encrypted securing all your company information at all times.
Go green; using openFabric dramatically reduces the volume of paper in the office and therefore improves time to locate, manage, store and archive company documentation.
Version control and document collaboration speeds the time to complete documentation whilst also providing an audit trial of who is working on the content and when. Changes that have been made and each version are available should you want to restore an original entry.
By implementing openFabric Individuals can create their own web-based Portal/Intranet and Extranets all linked to your openFabric Global Portal. Users can easily administer these spaces avoiding the need to be reliant on an IT department.
The customer relationship manager is idea for managing contact details, correspondence and activity with all customers, suppliers and external contractors.
An Image Library can capture thumbnail pictures of projects or staff photos for health and safety, index and easily searchable with photo shop tools for editing.
Work on line or off line. Saybi are well aware that there isn’t always an Internet connection available or a wireless connection can drop out. openFabric is one of the only platforms currently in information management that provides client software for your local PC. Where Internet connection is weak and keeps breaking or when there is no Internet connection at all, workers can still access their documentation and continue to work. As soon as Internet connection is available openFabric will seamlessly replicate.
The openFabric work flow designer can be tailored to manage any company process, whether its time sheets, estimating or preparing operations and maintenance manuals. The work flow engine will follow a set of processes enabling you to work far smarter and with the ability to view where the process is at any time.
There is always a danger that valuable paper-based information could potentially get lost especially when several individuals are involved with the project. Secure storage and regular back ups reduce the volume of paper and space used for filling cabinets and creates huge time savings when locating an old document using the openFabric search engine.
Saybi offer a secure hosted solution freeing Individual workers to concentrate on their chosen profession. Should companies require internal hosting openFabric runs on Linux as well as windows reducing the need for huge license costs and there is no need for a third party database.
The openFabric suite can easily integrate with existing systems and can be up and running in one day. All training is provided.
openFabric is a Platform For The Future and has a development server for further applications and or template add ons. From the business perspective the openFabric platform can easily be built upon, and in the future hopes to extend the information delivery capability to include supply chain.
